Along with our festivities next Sunday, we will also observe the 50th anniversary of the Cathedral's consecration on the actual anniversary date—Tuesday, October 14. Following the 7:30 a.m. Mass, there will be Eucharistic adoration in the main sanctuary. The 5:15 p.m. Mass will be followed by a continuation of adoration with the recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. and Solemn Vespers at 7:00 p.m. followed by Benediction. During Vespers we will have the opportunity to renew our individual, baptismal consecration and to entrust our Cathedral parish community to the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the first and most perfect disciple. We hope that everyone will be able to join us for some part of this spiritual celebration.
