Liturgy
Altar Server
Open to young people and adults, a server assists the celebrating priest as needed during the Sunday Masses. Servers are scheduled approximately twice a month. Training is provided.
Sanctuary Care
These volunteers assist with ongoing care of the Chapels and with major seasonal changes in the "decorating" of the sanctuary and other areas of the church for the various special liturgies and liturgical seasons of the Church (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, etc.).
Eucharistic Adoration
Come and adore our Savior Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. All are welcome.
Tuesdays: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Cana Chapel unless otherwise noted (all-day Eucharistic Adoration, concluding)
Fridays: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Cana Chapel unless otherwise noted (all-day Eucharistic Adoration, concluding with Benediction)
Saturdays: 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. in the Main Sanctuary (time for Adoration during Confessions)
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
This ministry involves the reverent distribution of the Eucharist at the Sunday Mass of one’s choice. You must be a member of the Cathedral parish, and have been Confirmed Catholic. EMHCs are scheduled about twice a month. Training is provided.
Greeter
Greeters also offer the gift of hospitality to those who enter the Cathedral doors. Individuals or entire families serve as greeters at Mass and other Cathedral events. Training is provided. Greeters are scheduled one to four times a month at the Mass of their choosing.
Lector
This is the ministry of proclamation of the Scriptures at the Holy sacrifice of the Mass. You must be a member of the Cathedral and have been Confirmed Catholic. Lectors are scheduled approximately once a month. Training is provided.
Sound Board Operator
Volunteers are needed to operate the soundboard used for the broadcast of the Sunday liturgy over Relevant Radio. Portions of the Mass will also be recorded for posting on the website. After training, operators will work one Sunday (10:00 a.m.) Mass per month.
Usher
Cathedral ushers welcome parishioners and visitors and are also attendant to their comfort and security. In addition, ushers take up the collections.
