Care
Pastoral Care is the ministry that emphasizes the compassionate care and concern of
the Gospel for others—making Christ present to those in need.
Befrienders
A group of pastoral volunteers who
offer a listening and compassionate presence with those who are grieving,
suffering from illness or experiencing other difficulties. Individuals
visit the homebound, and those in health care centers.

for the training schedule and further information.
Divorced and Separated Support
Group
and Moving On Support Group
Our goal is to provide support through
the separation and divorce process by promoting acceptance of self and
situation, by fostering personal and spiritual development and by challenging
persons to move on to new growth.

Eucharistic Ministry to the Homebound
Trained individuals are connected
with an individual or Health Care Center to bring Holy Communion on
a weekly or bimonthly basis.
Ministry of Prayer
Individuals receive monthly
prayer intentions through a letter from the pastoral care department.
Community Caring for Life
Sponsors a weekly Rosary for
Life held after the 10:00 am Sunday Mass, in the Blessed Virgin Mary
chapel. All are invited to participate in this time of prayer for the
recognition in our world of the inherent dignity of all human life.
Hospital Calls
These are done by members
of the Pastoral Care team. Please contact the parish office at (651)-228-1766
if you wish to be visited, or know of someone in the hospital.
Funeral Lunch Committee
This is a group of individuals who are willing to set up, serve and clean up at funeral
lunches. There is no cooking or baking required. The time commitment is 3-4 hours each
funeral. Volunteers serve on an "on-call" basis.
Calix: Catholic Recovering Alcoholic or Chemical Dependents Organization
Holds monthly breakfast meetings
in the Assembly room on the 3rd Sunday of the month, following the 8:00
am Sunday Mass. Anyone who has experienced difficulties with alcoholism
or chemical abuse is welcome to attend.
