Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
CGS is a Montessori based program for children age three to six. Catechists are specially trained; parent helpers are welcome to assist.
Catechesis for Children
Classes for Grades 1 and 2 prepare a child for the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. These are offered at the Cathedral on Saturday mornings from September through May. Grades 3 to 8 are designed to develop and deepen a child’s faith as they mature.
Catechesis for Young People
Preparation for Confirmation is a two year program beginning for students in 9th grade. Upon successful completion of the program, reception of the sacrament of Confirmation takes place at the end of the 10th grade year.

Third through Eighth Grades - Faith and Life Series
Wednesday 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. (First session is September 15) at Saint Thomas More
Ninth and Tenth Grades - Confirmation Preparation – Didache Series
Wednesday 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. (First session is September 15) at Saint Thomas More
Costs
First child $100
Second child $75
Third child $50
No fee for more than three children (maximum $225 per family)
