  • Thanks to the extended charitable IRA legislation, you may make gifts using IRA funds without tax complications. If you are 70-1/2 or more and are required to receive a minimum distribution from your IRA, you can direct the distribution to a public charity without paying income tax on the amount of the gift. Only contributions made through December 31, 2009 are eligible for enhanced tax benefit. We invite you to consider supporting the Cathedral of Saint Paul through this option. Be sure to contact your tax professional and your IRA advisor if you are considering a gift under this law.
